The Next
ISSUES in WELS
FORUM

Our IIW Steering Committee met last Friday, January 25th. The decision was made to postpone our next Forum from April 21-22 until Monday, August 11, 2008.

There were a number of reasons for rescheduling including that the April date conflicted with some pastoral conferences. We also are anticipating we will have a report from the Ad Hoc Commission at our district conventions in June. This Commis-sion was authorized by our Synod in Convention to "analyze the Synod's current challenges and bring recommendations for a comprehensive plan." (Together, November 5, 2007)

The location for this IIW Forum on August 11th will be St. John's (Oakwood Road), Oak Creek, WI. The main presentation will focus on "Church Growth". Present plans are for it to be a one full day meeting. More details will follow.
